The MKS CD V1.0 opens up fresh new opportunities for beefing up your 3D Printer’s power, while also featuring some awesome protection features that work to isolate the power between the Stepper Drivers and the Controller Boards, so as to keep all of the connected components safe from high current.
It simply plugs into the controller board like a typical A4988 or similar driver would, and then connects to the external stepper driver via a simple 4-wire interface.
This is particularly beneficial for 3D Printers that utilize 57/86 stepper motors, as these motors typically require high driving currents, and running high-current drivers directly through a controller board can certainly lead to costly and unexpected damage.
